Services | Eye Exams
Regular eye exams are critical in maintaining good health. In addition to testing your vision and eye health, an exam can detect diabetes and high blood pressure. These conditions can lead to serious health problems and often develop without symptoms. So early detection is very important. We can also work your primary care physician to coordinate your management of these diseases.
Eye exams are provided by Dr. Brophy. He uses the latest in computer and other high tech instruments to ensure the best results. He can also diagnosis and treat many eye diseases and injuries. Our office provides emergency services for eye infections and eye injuries. Please call our office during office hours and we will schedule an appointment for as soon as possible.

We offer complete contact lens services including all specialty lens products. Dr. Brophy can help fit you into a pair of lenses that are just right for you. He is an expert in fitting contact lenses and can handle the most specialized needs. Whether rigid or soft lenses, he is experienced in handling the most difficult of prescriptions.
Comanagement of LASIK surgery
LASIK is currently the most technologically advanced refractive surgical procedure to reduce or eliminate near-sidedness, far-sidedness, and astigmatism. The procedure involves reshaping the cornea with a laser so that light entering the eye is correctly focused. Dr. Brophy is happy to commanage your Lasik eye surgery or cataract surgery. He recommends Dr. Will of Will Vision and Dr. Christiansen of TLC Laser Centers. Facilities and Equipment | Auto-Refractor
Our auto-refractor gives Dr. Brophy an immediate estimate of a glasses prescription. This allows us to effectively treat vision problems, especially with patients such as young children or handicapped individuals.
Retinal Photography
Our retinal camera enables Dr. Brophy to identify and document many diseases of the retina as well as educate patients in their eye health.
Visual Fields
Our visual fields machine helps Dr. Brophy rule out diseases which may affect your eyes. These diseases, such as strokes, multiple sclerosis and glaucoma, may otherwise not be visible. With many diseases, early detection is the key to effective preventative care and treatment.
Visual field tests assess the potential presence of blind spots, which can indicate eye diseases. A blind spot in the field of vision can be linked to a variety of specific eye diseases. Many eye and brain disorders can cause visual field abnormalities. For example, optic nerve damage caused by glaucoma creates a very specific visual field defect. Other vision problems associated with blind spots developing within the visual field includes optic nerve damage from disease or toxic exposure or damage to the retina. Brain abnormalities such as those caused by strokes or tumors can affect the visual field. The location of the stroke or tumor in the brain can be determined by the size, shape and site of the visual field defect.
